My Work
Mosaics
I first fell in love with mosaics in Barcelona when I saw Antonio Gaudi’s work. I was enamored by the playfulness, the color, and the imagination of his work. It was like a fantasy come to life. In 2014, I started my own mosaic journey when I began taking classes at Revive Gallery in Lake Geneva, WI. I make creations on glass, wood, and rock. I also make jewelry pendants. My style is mixed media and I often incorporate beads, jewelry components and hidden messages into my designs.
Abstract Painting
I specialize in intuitive, expressive art. Each canvas has a story waiting to be told. Building layer by layer, my process reveals that story. My work is influenced by my experiences, my travels, and the colors and patterns of nature. My paintings are a way to process my feelings, often reflecting a particular mood.
Beaded Jewelry
I’ve been making jewelry for over 30 years now. Fascinated with jewelry and gems since I was a child, I work primarily in semi-precious stones and sterling silver, recently expanding into brass and gold. Collecting beads and components during my travels, I’m influenced by the culture, as well as the colors and textures of the landscape.
Glasswork
My love of glass has led me to glass studios around the world to observe masters in places like Venice, Guadalajara, Tucson, and of course Seattle. It was when I went to Seattle that I began working with artists on my own creations. I’m an enthusiast and explorer who enjoys working under the guidance of a master. I love learning about different techniques, exploring colors, and creating unique pieces. I’ve participated in workshops in 7 studios, most recently in Nairobi, Kenya.
